Alumni Feature: Ahmed Al Juobori

Ahmed Al Juobori graduated from the program in 2021. We caught up with him recently to see how the Graduate Certificate in Aquaculture furthered his career in the nutrition and feed formulation industry.

What motivated you to pursue the program?

During my work in the industry, I have become increasingly interested in aquaculture. Aquaculture is already the fastest-growing animal food-producing sector, and it is very important to feed the future. The program provides theoretical and practical skills in the local and global aquaculture industry.

How has the program helped further your career?

This program provided me with an overview of different aquaculture production systems, fish diseases, fish nutrition, breeding program, seafood processing and the sustainability of aquaculture. During my study in the program, my instructors helped me discover the job opportunities in the market, increase my network, and approach me to the business leads.

What are your next steps?

Seeking innovative ways to evaluate and propose solutions to aquaculture problems and reduce the environmental impact.
